i mean, wouldnt that be like streatching a 100x100 resolution pic to 1000x1000 to make it fit nice ly as like a desktop backround?

When you convert to mp3....it removes part of the sound spectrum....it cuts frequencies....to make it smaller.
Once those parts have been removed...it is not possible to put them back.
That's why you should either get the CD....and convert to 320MP3....or buy the 320MP3 online.
There is no way of guaranteeing that what you get off the net is actually a 320MP3.
Someone could have done what you described above and posted it as a 320MP3.
How would you know it ain't a real 320??
