    Default 2nd macbook advice?

    Ok looking to buy a 2nd hand macbook
    really cant afford a brand new macbook pro with moving and everything at the moment but really want to get in to the mac side of things+my windows laptop is working like a horse for djing and normal use

    so i see u can pick up old macbooks pretty cheap,genrealy the batterys dont hold witch of course i would replace just wondering what i should look out for

    in terms of ram,os etc...looking to run traktor pro and live 8

    any macbook with over 2ghz c2d with min of 2gb ram should be fine.

    is it easy to update ram and hardrives on macs?
    i build pc's myself but have never gone in to the world of macs

    Its so easy even i have done it . Especially RAM. HD are easier on later Macs. Harder on PPC Macs but i guess your looking at new Intels.

    If you have made PCs you will have no problems.

    This resource is excellent for all Macs. Tells you exactly what the specs are of every machine and whether the parts are user or Apple replaceable. Its a UK site but Macs are Macs all over the place i guess. Worth a look.

    Er... yeah we kinda invented the Imperial Measurement system and the Metric System, they are both ours... but you guys can use them , its cool.

    We use metric now but still use Miles not KM for distance. Odd.
