Default multiple DJs dvs/software. how to switch over?

is there a inexpensive way to have multiple soundcard connected to one pair of TT (serato, traktor, torque). tonight we had some trouble switching over on our dvs systems. we had my 4d mixer so the TT had to be plugged in directly to the mixer for me to get my traktor signal, my buds use torque and Villains used serato. it was a big hassle switching over =/

    edit:
and my gf opened up using ableton. lol i just realized how much software we had going on tonight!

The Traktor Multicore cables should take some of the pain away. Everyone needs a set of them but they all only need to use the half that hooks into the soundcard. That way you can just clip their half into the half that's attached to the mixer.

Magma Switchbox. See also Allen & Heath's Xone:PB which does a bit more (ground lifting etc)

the multicores that come with the audio 4 are not the same as the ones that come with the audio 8.

AFAIK all multicores are now the 'one piece' type.

2 piece multicores are available to buy in the NI store.

Really? Doesn't that completely negate the whole point about using them? Really, they should be industry standard. Especially for clubs...

Dunno... the biggest complaint about the multicores is that they are too bulky, too long and hard to reassemble in a hurry so the one piece ones were made.

Personally i find the one piece too short but i also find the 2 piece to be a pain and not easily tucked away in the booth.

I think they need to be redesigned.

I can see why those are issues. I think the main thing that needs changing is to use softer plastic so they are easier to wrap up. I do think the two piece ones are a great idea though.
