Drum practice programs/online training

i have a maschine at home and have been working on learning how to use it. My biggest problem is drumming i have a extensive musical background and was wondering if there is programs or audio tapes out there designed to teach you how to drum that i could use with the maschine to practice my timing and learning common drum beats.

So far i have just been listening to songs and trying to replicate the drum beats but am looking at maybe something that can teach me the basic of drum beats more of a learning tool then just replicating existing drum beats.

it depends on what you are working on. Are you having issues with your timing? If that is the case just work off of a metronome or click track and practice (really 30 minutes of good focused practice daily will work wonders) If you are trying to work out specific rhythms get some sheet music for whatever has the rhythms you are working on, and just work off of those.

Ill second that, definitely worth looking at and its easy to follow. Ive been a drummer most of my life, and still found that site a great help.

I used to play percussion in the school band (band geek I know) but deffinitly playing a snare drum or huge bass drum deffinitly helps with your timing.
