Default what is going on in this video of my vci?

Hi all, just have an issue with my vci 300 unit occasionally freezing and makes a crusher sounding effect as you can hear in the video. I have a 1 year old sony vaio with 4gb ram and duel core processor. This has been happening for a few months now, really need some help and guidance

I am using itch 1.7 but still had same problem with 1.5 and all betas in between. my thinking is that its either a soundcard problem or my laptop could have viruses or just be running too slow? Am I way off the mark?

Oh and keep up the good work Ean. djtech tools rules

They are currently at 5ms. if I change it higher will the unit not run really slowly. I take it the lower the latency the better the unit performs? do you think there is a problem with my laptop, software or hardware?

Raising the latency helps reduce the work the computer does to keep things fast. If your laptop is getting overburdened then you will start to have issues with sound etc.

I'm not sure whether it's software of hardware based, and I don't use itch so you're probably better off asking in the serato forums.
You're right in thinking the latency will make it perform slower, however it wont be slow enough to notice a difference. Try between 5-10ms and see if the problem occurs.
