Default Software for organizing tracks? (win)

    Hey DJTT.

What sort of software do you use when organizing your music? I've come to the conclusion that the Traktor library just doesn't cut. It can't even analyze keys as far as I know?

I've tried rapid_evolution, but it's super slow, and I would like to try out something else.

Gotta run on Windows by the way!

Have a look at Trainspotter to mess about with Traktor's collection.nml file. I use it for smart-ish playlists in conjunction with some keywords in the ID3 comments field (ie tool, vocal, phat...)

considering its integration with traktor, it might be wise to reevaluate not wanting to use itunes.

I've found that most keying software is not accurate, but that remark relates to the genre of the music of course. Some is easier to key than others.
But if you have a keyboard handy and a musical background, finding the key manually, for me at least, is much quicker and painless than using software.

Then just put the key into Traktor, and you can sort your songs by key or whatever else you like.

It's a principle, I don't want to use any Apple products
