where did these folders come from?

    Default where did these folders come from?

    i dont know how but about 75% of all my tracks have now got there own folders and sub folders.i'e to open 1 a man called adam track i have to open the a man called adam folder then open barefoot in the head folder to play the track.is there a way to get rid of all these folders?

    hope someone can help

    i was trying to sync my daughters ipod to itunes.im sure thats how it happened and not all my tracks were in itunes so im thinking the ones that are now in folders were the ones in itunes.

    uncheck the box in the itunes prefs that says "keep itunes organised" otherwise it moves tracks around, creates folders and can cause untold issues.

    You could do a search for mp3 files in the itunes folder, then drop all the mp3s in a new folder, this way you don't have to sift through all the folders and manually copy the songs.

    It'll still be a load of work, but it'll spare you a bunch of clicks.

    You can drag the songs from the iTunes window straight to a folder on the computer. So sort by whatever you want in iTunes, drag to new folder for that artist, genre or whatever. When your done with it all you can delete the iTunes library.

    Personally I just use iTunes.
