That's a pretty beefy looking mixer. I bet it's expensive.

I'm wondering whether mixers with on-board effects are an anachronism at this point? Most DJ software these days includes effects in software, and it seems that's the direction things should keep going for flexibility. I think it would just be confusing to have effects on my mixer as well as in Traktor; I'd only use one set of them I think so why pay for both? But I've never really used a mixer with on-board effects so maybe I just don't understand the advantages of that.

Too bad all the high-res photos are of the Xone DX rather than the DB4. Anybody else notice the mixer seems to have an effect called "OMG"?

That's the "Usher" effect...makes all the guys take their shirts off for some reason.

Humm.. Seems ok but you can do all of this with software and an external mixer already.

But I like the audio flexibility of the mixer.

I think the big deal is that it's another mixer with a built in Serato sound card...4 ins and 4 outs...so the Rane mixer isn't the only player on that front any more.
