behringer monitors or m audio ones are cheaper alternatives but you get what you pay for in most things dj wise

M-Audio BX8a! They are a bit pricey, but well worth the money, I took the advice someone gave me and invested in good monitor speakers, I am grateful that I did just that, besides, many of us end up spending money on other things (such as beer and eating out, lol). Save the money and purchase quality gear, you will not be disappointed.

I would have to disagree with this suggestion. From the research I did when looking for monitors, the BX8a have a super-high return rate and are made with cheap components. A large amount of the returns are because the integrated amp in them blows easily and randomly under normal wear. Save yourself the headache and get a pair of KRK's, you won't be disappointed. A little more money upfront will save you a potential hassle down the road...
