Default played my first party with controllers...

i played my first party with controllers and traktor...a small one with about 40-50 people...backyard halloween party with a back garage with lights and a sound system...people of all drinking ages...

i played everything from eric b and rakim to a nic fanciulli remix...no one said a damn thing about the controllers other than that they were very cool and were asking questions about the software...got a good dance floor for the better part of four hours...

best part of the night? taking a taxi home, drunk, my gear and music with me...

    oh...

    and the five minute teardown...

Good job man. How do you find digital djing compared to cdj's. Did you enjoyed yourself more?

Nice! I did the same, MPD32, VCI-100, X-Station25, my little Xenyx mixer, and laptop w/ HP. Such easy setup and tear down, I could spend more time making my DJ booth look legit

i was on an even smaller table than that...

but yeah man...i enjoyed myself alot more...

i liked it...felt alot more flexible to jump around genres...this was a small test run before i get myself back into the game to set up a monthly deep house night somewhere...one of the girls there works at a nice new bar/club here in town...maybe the only legit one...so i need to get off my laurels and get her a demo mix...

Nice story. for me, my first controller actually got me into multi-genre DJing... I used to practice for days to have the balls to drop rock in a house set, for instance. No longer!

"Protection" with Massive Attack, Todd Terry's remix of Everything But The Girl's "Missing", her voice is as recognizable as Billy Ray Martin (who you should also check out).
