    so yeah man, you are right, they are all "unix-like" os
    linux and mac are brothers, not father and son.

    IMO you don't need the latest hardware but one that does the job right. I run TP at 2,5ms (can run at 1ms but i'd rather have a safety net) along with a pretty midi out intensive apc mapping.

    anyways, traktor doesnt run on linux unless it's emulated as far as i know (dunno about NI soundcard drivers if you are planning to get tsp)

    to reduce latency disable wifi/bluetooth (all systems), disable battery ACPI (PC notebook) and kill any unnecesary proceses/programs

    4. Guess more ram is the first stop (you never have enough ram! ), it will speed up your system (system won't have to use paging file so much) more than new SSD (software and Windows will start faster).
