A lot of good suggestions on here. If I were you though I wouldn't play music I personally hate. I've never got a gig because I refuse to play shit that everyone in miami wants to hear, like pitbull. But then again this is my hobby, unless youre making it a profession, make sure youre enjoying it yourself.
