Uhm I know for a FACT that the Sennheiser HD25s are a great pair of headphones.

Those ATs however I fear the driver on em might be quite small and the isolation might be a bit...eh.

Whats your budget? Cause for about 150-160$ you can get the Sennheiser HD25-1 SP headphone which is the model up and will be the only pair of headphones you will need for the rest of time. (from ebay btw)

ah typo, yeah its the hd25iisp i was looking at. Ive been told the hd25ii is amazing but have no knowledge of the sp version. do they have any bits in common?

i was looking at es55's or even hdj500's but theres been no info on them at all.

Hold on I've gone and messed that up (I f*ckin hate the HD25 model labeling...)

    back to square 1:

I thought the ones you were looking at were the HD25 SP, which are the "starter" model and have the cable coming out of both cups.
The ones you should get are the "HD25-1 II" (what the f*ck kind of model name is that...anyways..) with the single cable and the swivel earcups.

In comparison with the Audio Technicas its no competition I'd say.

this is like the 2nd or 3rd result and its 162$ im sure further down there are some 150$, mind you this is Canadian ebay, in the US you can get better deals. Granted I also don't know where you reside so..

I can tell you that you are going to CURSE the SP1's if you use them for DJing.

They are too soft....and they flop and flip all around. They are not DJing headphones.

I have a pair at home.....that never get used.

They are plastic and not CLOSE to the HD25's build.

I bought a pair of those from the first limited run about a year ago.
They were for a friend in Canada.
    They are very cool indeed.
Wish i had my own pair.

Senns for the win anyway. Best headphones ive ever had.
