Default In the year 2000.... just want to be sure I get the credit when this is common

me: oh, i played 1979 too
    smashing pumpkins

    Benjamin: hey cool!
    that's a fun song
    super positive.

me: I really wanted the crystal method mix but I lost it
though about downloading it during the set
but that's crazy talk (in 2010)

in 2020, people will IM the tacks to the DJ for requests
    bet you!

    Benjamin: hahaha totally..

    me: totally

Benjamin: that actually simplifies things alot.
i think it would be awesome to have a live-internet connection while you DJ
grab songs off beat-port to throw into the set.
for a wedding dj it would great.. if you get a request that's not in your collection.

me: yup... totally going to happen

I'd like to set up that club night

    iClub for iPhone app $20
    no app... no requests

Year 2000 came and went 10years ago dude. Pretty disappointing as the world didnt stop due to Y2K bug.

Ive been downloading requests at my gigs for a few years now.

Also, its actually illegal to use iTunes downloads for pubic performance so i dont see Apple approving an app that does it.

    Jus sayin.

If I owned a bar I'd try my best to supply an enormous library of pop music from the 20th century in 320k mp3 on an in-house dedicated server for DJs. Organized, tagged, and searchable.

Sounds like a serial and expensive undertaking, but I'd consider it a really wise business investment.

I'd kiss the bar/club manager if I ever ran into that.

So all I have to do is provide you a giant server full of music and a bar and you'll kiss me?

    I'll be right back......
