I just got Win 7 (legit) cus my new monitors only have Win7 drivers.
They work with my XP Dell but i figure they might work better with Win7.

I was thinking of backing up the hard drive and formatting the PC and installing WIn7 .I Ive had lots of problems with this PC in the passed which Dell where shit at helping with so i figure a fresh start is a good idea.

Turns out its a RAID Dell Dimension 9150... means nothing to me.

Should i do it. Will it be easy. How do i format a RAID thingy?
Will the Win7 install give me an option to wipe the damn thing. I did read that installing Win7 would require a complete format anyway.
    Am i talking hogwash..?

    sorry for thread jack.

I would go for it mate, my laptop is only 4gb 2.4ghz dual core, and it runs 64bit win 7 no problemo.

The RC version of Win 7 had some issues, but I have not had any problem running 32 bit software on my 64 bit OS

I had to reinstall a few things like CS5 etc but everything works great. The only thing that doesn't work is my 5 year old phone lol, but a $5 bluetooth dongle solved that issue!

Cool news... Gonna back up this week and do it.

Do i need to format the RAID jobby or will the Win7 Install do it for me.

I had some trouble with the pc a few years back and Dell sent me all the XP disks to reinstall and i ended up with 2 installations, one with fuck all on it and one with all my stuff. I want shut of everything.
