noisy jogwheel
hello m8s, i'm having some trouble with the right jogwheel : when used, it starts making a metal scratch noise, without any pressure on the platter . Is it normal ?
i've recorded smth for you to see what i'm talking about.

It's real hard to tell in the video, but I don't think that's normal. You should probably open up a ticket with NI and see if they can get you sorted.

My left jog wheel does the same as in it wasn't made properly. The right one is perfect but the left one whenever I spin it or move it there's a certain point at which it feels like when they were making it they forgot to like finish cutting a small area. However it does NOT make the metal sound.
Yeah, i'd suggest contacting NI as well, unless you bought it from a retailer near you, then I would go back to the retailer.
I'm waiting till January before I go turn in my S4 for another one (hopefully it'll be their second batch thats out by then).

My right jog makes a little noise when I spin it around that may sound a little similar to yours, but I wouldn't call it a metal noise. I never noticed it though until I checked to see if mine sounded like yours. That said the sound mine makes isn't something I feel like I need to worry about.
