A million pounds to anyone who can tell me how to use a midi fighter!
hi, just got my midi fighter, put it together etc. I downloaded the midi fighter mapping [not the deckalised one] went to preferences, imported it, then I get a window saying ''use controller settings and use effects settings'', but. . . . . . . . . . . . . I have NO FRAKKING clue how to actually initialise any of the buttons. As in, how do I make it that when I press a button, something happens!??!?!!!?!?!?!????????!!!!!!!!!!! [i'm fully aware that if I cant do this I probably have no business getting out of bed in the morning]
i've got traktor scratch pro by the way, and i might have to owe you the million quid. . .

is it coming up as a device in the setting>device setup? should come up under the keyboard then when you clicked on that install the mapping and it should work

its coming up as a device, and the mapping is all in there, but when I put a track on, nothing happens when I hit any of the buttons on the midi fighter. The little midi sign is not turning blue either.
Am I just not assigning it to a deck or something?

you would only need to assign it to a deck if your using the deckalised mapping i think. are the led's lighting up when you press the buttons? you using this tsi? http://www.djtechtools.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10137

make sure you are using the mapping that relates to your version of tracktor

thats the TSI yeah, i wasn't really sure which mapping relates to traktor scratch pro [if there is one] all the videos on the site etc are using traktor pro.
The lights are all lighting up when I press them, and it says ''midi fighter'' in the devices box.
not to worry bud, i'll have a looksy round the site see if there is a mapping for scratch pro, if there isn't then I should be able to just map it out myself i presume?? [after an IT lesson or two]
ta for the help though

The mapping should work with TSP. Make sure you've set the midi fighter in the In/Out ports when that mapping is selected.
