    Default Sound Card use?

Hey. So I'm new to this forum and new to using controllers. I have the white macbook that came out this year installed with ableton suite 8 and i just got my APC 20 along with a Yamaha keyboard that I may use as a second midi controller. Anyways, I thought i had my set up good and all but i keep reading that its important to have a good sound card. What exactly is this and what does it? Do i really need it?

You wanna DJ with it as well as Produce?

    Or.....

It depends. Audio 4 DJ or even the Audio 2 would be perfect....depending on how many outs you want DJing.

    Production....maybe a proper studio card.

    Budget??

And yes, i want it for both production and djing.

Audio 8 is a good sound card for production imo as it has 4 inputs including mic, as well as midi i/o, and dedicated headphone out,

and is that £200 or $200, because there is a mass difference.
