Default Decision made advice needed please.

Ok after playing with both software's for a week I have decided I want to specialise in learning more about and Dj'ing with Ableton. I have purcahsed a VCM-600, Laptop and Some Rokit's.

Now I understand that I will need some kind of sound card in order for the vestax and the rokits to connect to and to allow me to cue and listen to tracks in the headphones, is this correct?? (very new to digital dj'ing).

What are the recommendations for a good sound card. I mate said NI Audio 8 is a good one to go for. Any advice would be really appreciated as I know very little about the whole sound card thing.

Also, is it possible to combine an APC40 alongside the vestax in order to simply triger tracks and loops? If I plug both into the laptop, leave the APC40 in default mode and then map the Vestax how I want it will this be allowed by the software? Can both controllers for example control lets say one parameter like clip volume (or does ableton write over the last midi assignment with a new one?)

    Thanks

Audio 8 would be okay, but it's not the best production sound card out there. Someone just asked about production sound cards so a search should find that thread.
