Either the DJM800 or DB4. The 800 has been around awhile and there's tons of people on here and other places that can help get you set up with using it. The DB4 is a bad ass mixer though and I think if money were no object a good majority of the experienced DJ's out there would get it if no other reason than to try it out. You can always sell it if you don't like it, but I think it really is a ground breaking deal.

Like I said earlier though the learning curve with both will be pretty steep, probably more so with the DB4 because there's not as many people around to help you with it. Which brings me to my next point, find someone to give you some lessons. This is all new to you and WILL be overwhelming, having someone there to show you the ropes a little will go a long way.

As far as CDJ's go I don't really see the point, but they do look awesome and will make the whole setup nice. If you just want to learn to beat match get turntables and TSP that way if you get to a club that has CDJ's and no turntables you can still rock up with your audio 8 and time code CD's and play. Plus with turntables you can start collecting rare vinyl.

Where are you going to put all of this? Have you considered having a booth built? I think if it were me I would just have high table with everything in flight cases, but a custom made booth in the party room would be really nice.

[QUOTE=DeusExMachina;196144]Excellent. I will look into those. A lot of suggestions have been for the Xone DB4s so Ill probably go with that.

The thing with the DB:4 is that it's so new your not going to find it any club. Your also not going to find many folks using it yet, so not much of a user community to help you with. More is not always better....it's just MORE.

The DJM-800, of what is considered a "standard club mixer" the one that is used most. Don't go over the top just because it's over the top. Check out vids of some of your favorite acts and see what they are using, how they are getting certain sounds and then think about what gear you need to meet YOUR needs.

If you like controllers then don't get CDJ's. Get some X1's and 4 channel mixer. If you like taking gear out to parties and playing music and need something portable, then also grab an S4.

There's some really good vids on dancetrippin.tv There's a sweet set by Joris Voorn where we rocks a DJM-800 and one Xone 1D.

The Xone: DB4 might be new, the basics are as standard as the DJM-800, when speaking normal mixer functionality.

Also buy a handycam and post an unboxing video while you're at it. Couldn't imagine the feeling of getting all that gear at once.
