Need advice: Mapping knobs to activate FX

Happy Holidays everyone,
I gifted a Hercules MP3 E2 to my friend today, within an hour he is already complaining about the mapping(s) available for Traktor. His setup is desktop PC / Windows 7 32 bit.

I was hoping you guys could give us a bit of advice on how to map knobs to activate/turn on FX when the amount is adjusted. Amount 0=off, amount 1=on. As you all know the MP3 E2 is rather short of buttons. So any suggestions would be great. +1 brownie points for layouts, links and pics .

(I know generally know how to map Traktor, so don't be afraid to get technical )

Not at home with my stuff right now, but if I remember right after twisting the knob with learn on, select button and hold.

look a post by Armyofme on mapping a super knob. She has a youtube up. It's the best one Ive seen by far on mapping a knob.

Anyone needing a Hercules MP3 E2 mapping for Traktor 1.2.4 stay subbed to this thread. I've got about 7 hours into the one I'm making for my friend and I'll post it here when its finished.
