Hey I had to sleep so I couldn't really respond until now.

If you didn't order the Hercules RMX and you want to consider buying something that has long term potential, I still advocate a Hercules Steel w/ Audio 2 DJ card... on Amazon you just have to pay 20 bucks more. This is so if you decide to do parties/gigs or something, you will at least have amazing sound coming out of your system and the controller is just a MIDI so it should be fine. (Whereas if you went the RMX route and decide to go a little farther then you would have to get a soundcard eventually if you want good sound).

However it isn't the hugest deal, once you start DJing and decide that you like it, you will (hopefully) be doing enough research to get a good idea on what you are looking for.

As for getting speakers and such ... hold off ... you might hate DJing and are left off with even more money spent. If you have a stereo/boombox at home with RCA inputs (those red and white cords) just use that for now (that's what I've been doing).

(Also for your headphones you might need a 1/8inch - 1/4inch converter so you can plug it into the RMX (or Audio 2 whichever route you went) ... but that isn't a big deal (just an inconvenience if you didn't expect it)

Steel is not RMX. RMX has built-in soundcard, steel does not.
