    Default noob question....

    just bought a laptop, and moved to washington, looking to get into Digi DJing, ive seen my buddy use the vci and midi fighter, but i moved away, and can no longer seem to get a hold of him.im looking to run a similiar set up, what would be the best version of traktor to run on a viao 2.2 ghz , 4gb of ram...

    thats a new one lol

    and the newest version. when you buy it you get an older one, but an update will get you up to speed


    now, what kind depends on what youre going to do. chances are your friend was using traktor pro.

    if you ever plan on using turntable and such, youre going to need traktor scratch pro.


    as for the Duo versions of each, i recommend them only if youre really short on cash because they limit you to 2 decks instead of 4. and a whole lot less effects.

    Any version works fine really.

    I used to run it on a 4 year old lenovo (with an upped ram from 512 mb to 4 gigs ddr1, but with some 1.8 GHz celron M processor)

    to be honest traktor is not very demanding at all.
