Default Spinning platter traktor controller... is it going to happen???

So with NAMM coming up, a new version of Traktor in the pipes and 2011 ahead of us do you think we will see a spinning platter controller (similar to the NS7) with full Traktor support coming out this year? I hope so because the 1200s as much as I love em are extremely heavy and needles/records are a bit of a pain.

    Just wait a little longer!
There might be something comming soon

What's wrong with the NS7 besides it being heavy?

We allready have the Stanton scs 1d. The controller is perfect Traktor just needs to utilise its potential. We need some sort of high res MIDI its not really there fault its a industry thing agreeing on a new standard. Or stanton and traktor need to work together for HID support. It is a quality piece of kit. Also we need to get rid of the need of da router the guys over at mixxx have managed it

The NS7 is a nice piece of kit, however it doesn't work stably with Traktor. Dj Quartz has made a mapping which I think supports the spinning platters but they are unreliable. I haven't looked into the Stanton SCS 1Ds though, haven't actually even seem them before. The Denon DNS3700 with hybrid mode seems promising, I just hope as you said Tom, mostly, that traktor will get some sort of HID and spinning platter support this year!

Some devices like the NS7/V7 don't actually use HID. They just send two Midi-message so 7 Bit + 7 Bit = 14 Bit.

I don't know about the DNS3700 and SCS 1D. I'm not sure whether HID can also implemented in several ways.

My understanding is every manufacturer is supposed to comply to the same standard (USB-HID) to ensure interoperability.

So does that mean that theoretically the ns7 should be able to be mapped to traktor reliably???
