Upgrade my gear VS new traktor coming

I'd just say don't overestimate the launchpad's capabilities. It's great for ableton, but those pads aren't arcade buttons and you won't be doing any superfast button mashing with them. Obviously it all depends on what you want to be doing, but X1 would arguably be more useful for traktor. It does have 16 cue point buttons.

Yay i know, but now i'm using vci for fast jugglin (with arcade buttons), and midi fighter mapping with a custom keyboard for rapid effects and mixing (beatmasher , delay, echoo, replay, slicer).
i know that X1 is more useful (and it will have a dedicated mapping for samples), but i think i'm gonna miss the function of the MF.

X1 plus a pad would be great. but i'll spend more than i want, in that case i could sell the vci arcade and buy a s4.

Will contact djtt team for the VCI-100 TRADE IN/ REFURBISHED PROGRAM, and try to sell it, here in italy, is more difficult ahah

I've to say that Anyway you have convinced me for the x1.

I'm gonna wait the end of namm, Maybe i can find one at a low price!

Right now i'm using 2 DIY midi fighter.
But with those i cannot control features like faders and filter in sample decks.

Maybe i'll go for x1 for deck c and d and vci and 2 mf for a and b.

16 pad, with mf mapping, and some buttons and fader and know for sample mode.

MPDs are fine (I have an MPD32), but Launchpad give you more options... but MPDs have larger pads, I see less chance to hit "the bad one" while going crazy with it... depending of your style both would do the job pretty well. APC20?
