Default Can the Kontrol S4 really be beaten in terms of practicality?

I was recently pondering grabbing a good mixer and some turntables down the line for a timecode setup, but then I realized that I could just replace everything I currently have with an S4, then use it as a 4 channel timecode mixer eventually. This got me to thinking, is there really any option that is more practical for such an excellent price as the S4?

So for this reason I ask, what are your thoughts? Can you think of anything that offers such an excellent balance of practicality and functionality as the S4?

I suppose it can't be beaten for home/party use practicality.

Good luck fitting one in the average club booth though.

Not the most practical thing for me, but I use VDJ. It'd be a great controller, but I don't want to pay extra for the S4 software I wouldn't use.

The VCI maybe, just because of the price... But yea, it's pretty hard to beat if your aiming for practicality. I like a bulky unpractical setup that gives me more options though ;D

This'll never happen, it's technically impossible.

I'm gettin' the ts4, so instead of thinkin' about all the small booths, I'll only take gigs that have a LARGE stage. Nuff said...

It's all in the eyes of the beholder.

Really though, that's what it is.
