    There are also tests with recombinant DNA virussen which will activate the damaged cilia in the inner ear to regenerate. Tests show that completely deaf rats can regenerate up to 80% of the cilia in the inner ear. The only downside for us is that it will take up to 7 years before they start with trials on humans.

    Tinnitus can be a real bitch to live with...
