I can't believe that someone who makes music, primarily his type of music which is all done electronically doesn't think to have anything as a backup.
Bring your own cd and stick it into the cdj for christ sake.
Go into the crowd and ask who has 'your' cd and throw it in there....something atleast.
Not really a full blown crash, but I had to reboot my iMac today.

I wonder what the issue was that it took guys from an Apple store to try and get it fixed..?
Also, what the hell time was it. I dunno any Apple stores open that late or is the article getting a few facts skewed?
According to his Twitter the laptop could not "find the hard drive" and he has rescued his Ableton sets.
Anyhoo, not having a back up is unforgivable. He should probably have another laptop with a mirror of his set on it or a bootable HD.
I know i have. Maybe its not always with me but if im in my home town its only a 15 min drive to get it and if im out of town ill have it or CDs.
Maybe, he cant DJ without Ableton? Anyone know if he can DJ with cds?

which is probably why it didnt get fixed. apple geniuses dont fix anything, ever.
they just go "oh hey, its broken! let me get another one for you from the back!"
all it takes to be an apple tech apparently is the skillset of a stockboy. if clicking next 3 times in techtool wont fix it, then its off to the stockroom!
