i was there a number of times but i can't really remember, ha! my drunk ears hear everything in 56kbps.

well i can. the room is also pretty much perfect (the berghain one, not the panorama bar). what he talks about only works at home, alone, sitting still and not doing anything but listening. not exactly how my saturday night works.
A dj that isn't concerned about achieving the best possible sound they can provide is not a dj i want to pay to hear. That's where it starts.
I agree fully with the video, and spent over a decade training my hearing with classical music. It still shocks me that people cannot hear the difference between a cd and 128. Absolutely shocked. I can hear the difference between a 192 and a 320 on fucking stock apple iPod speakers.
I simply don't go to "live shows" anymore. They jam pack thousands of drunk assholes into a stadium, turn up the volume to 11 with no regards to acoustics or positioning... Its all they give the public nowadays, and then we blame the one guy crusading for quality speakers and sound???
Mind boggling.

carl cox and eric powell used a funktion-1 for their outdoor private party i went to a few weeks back.
and wood is what witches are made of...
So if your PA weighs the same as a duck... then it's made of wood... and then...
A WITCH!
OTT I guess you could A/B the vinyl/wav/mp3 of a same track on one sound system, but not necessarily A/B a mix of all that on different tracks...
would love to hear what this guys hears =[ i could imagine it would be heavenly
this thread pops up here every now and then. I always loved how his interviews/ads always consist of him bashing on his competitors and DJs. also anyone know which remix is played at 2:44
192 is horrible!
Tony Andrews is right, I used to think my CDs sounded shit compared to vinyls!
It is a shame mp3 is so goddamn convenient.....
With the ill behaviour...
Two threads (check out 'mp3 vs WAV') draw similar conclusions.
