Hey guys..my first post here. Hopefully it will help someone out there.

For anyone who has a DN-X600 or other mixers with internal soundcard, you may find the teeniest-tinniest delay on the crossfader cut. I find this is most apparent on the Coolly scratch. It seems to shave of the leading edge of the cut (I might stick up a video, it's easier to just show it )

The way you solve this is a bit fiddly, but once it's done, you're set. You will need our friend 'gater'. Pop it in, in a single effect unit. Have it as the primary unit for each deck (like when you're setting up an internal post-fader echo effect).

Make sure you have a button assigned to turn off the effects unit. It will always be active once you turn on the unit.

The most important parameter is the second one. You must have your orange mute box set to on. Assign the effect on for this effect unit to your crossfader. To start with, it will insist on muting the track when the fader is away from the edge (so for hamsters scratchers, you might want to leave that as is.) For regular scratchers, you will need to make an exact duplicate of the mapping you just made, but set it to 'invert'.

The last step is to map dry/wet volume to the crossfader as well. Set it to invert. When the fader gets to the furthest edge, it will be muted again by gater, but with the dry/wet all the way down at this end, it won't mute the sound.

Do the same for the other deck (but don't invert the dry/wet) and you should be good to go. No more delay!

Basically it turns the fader into midi rather than audio, so it gets quicker.

I really don't like that there's no Modifier Condition: Deck Selected

OR... LEFT.DECK.SELECT on S4 toogles Focus DECK A/C depending on what deck selected. The same for RIGHT.DECK SELECT focus B/D

Is there a hack for this?

Use deck focus output command and route her midi signal in to the modifier.

Sorry, I don't get that. Can you please give an example?

What's the best way to map a 1 button emergency FX kill? With as few modifiers as possible (preferably none).

I'm currently running 4 controllers at once. Occasionally the mappings don't play well together and an effect gets stuck on. I'd like to be able to quickly deactivate all the FX units with one button.

Can you please give some more input and perhaps we could fix the button mappings instead of building the alternative button.

    What mappings/controllers do you use?
What FX unit mode (group/single) is set for each of the FX Units?

Sounds like one of your mappings get's stuck on storing effect states...
Modifiers are not required if you have a spare button for this function.

Hey Stewe, thanks for weighing in on this.
I'm using an X1, Z1 or Z2 (depending), MF Pro CM and MF3D. My standard set of mappings are working fine together. The issue arises when I'm testing out new mappings. Occasionally I run into situations where something gets stuck on and takes a few seconds to identify where the errant effect is coming from. FX units 1-3 are in group and 4 is single. I have plenty of spare buttons. I'd just like to have something I can quickly deactivate the FX assignments during a live set, then go back and sort out the issue later.
