First and foremost: no pre-existing typefaces were used anywhere in this series. Like, down to the model numbers on the chips. It's all either custom lettering or original fonts.
I don’t think it’s cynical of me to say that very few of us “change” in life. We grow, we evolve, we refine ourselves in terms of personality, or knowledge, or whatever, but I think it’s pretty rare for the average person to stop on a dime one day and follow a new direction from that point forward. It happens in movies all the time, but I’ve yet to see a lot of evidence that it’s a real phenomenon.
