Hi! I've done these videos, basically for that indecisive people who don't know clearly what is the kontrol s8 response to the scratching. I have received several e-mails from my youtube channel and djloomy.com, with questions about the ability of the traktor kontrol s8 to scratch, the feel, the cut, latency, construction, etc.

The traktor kontrol s8 has curve adjustments, the faders curves (soft) and cross-fader (knob), being perfectly usable for scratch session or advanced scratching, the crossfader is very soft and light.
The latency is minimal, these videos has been made with kontrol s8 latency ajdusted to 128 (2,7ms-2.0 ms) 2.8.1.

Traktor kontrol s8 construction is really robust, quickly giving that sense of "pro gear" as you put hands on it.

Here i leave a small video samples recorded from mobile phone ...i hope you like it

soon i'll upload more scratch videos with the s8.

Tx a lot, it used to be a midi fighter twister (endless possibilities...) 2 years ago. I started by making my own mapping ans i thought it could be a 4 channel mixer with FX, remix decks support, hot cues, freeze mode, stems, live looping, sequencing and DVS and and and...

it lacked :
anti-vandal buttons on the TOP !
traktor scratch audio 6
1to Samsung SSD
teensy + switches to assign Xfader to A/B + innofader PNP (if anyone wants the code : just ask)
reliable 4 ports USB 3 HUB
3,5 Stereo jacks (more convenient and smaller)
and put everything in a MFT-like casing

in the big case :
my modified MFT
a cheap numark PT-01 touring (on which i added a start stop button) + DVS vinyl
power adapters for charging my macbook air, the JBL Xtreme and the turntable battery.
I also added a USB powerbank to plug in the USB HUB to reduce the macbook air battery drowning...
the briefcase charges everyone when plugged (no more forgotten cables).
