    Default need serious help!!

Im trying to record my mixes.

I bought a Behringer UFO202 interface and plug an RCA cable to the bacc of the mixer to the Behringer inputs and use audacity to record. Wen I rwcord, it sound HORRIBLE.

I know there must be a way to record my mixes, i tried runnin a rca to 3.5 mm jacc to the s microphone input, but that just sound as terrible.

Anybody suggest a different aound card, recordin program, anything?!?!!!?

does it sound good on your speakers? I had this same problem and the volume levels were just simply too loud in audacity. Try turning them down, alot. Do you have it plugged in to your headphone jack?

    I tried everything. EVERYTHING.

I use Torq Conectiv, and Serato vinyls to work with Virtual DJ, wen im mixin it up, it sounds sood thru the speakers, but wen i record it in audacity and play it bacc, its distorted as hell. I tried adjuatin the volumes thru audacity and the control panel for the input, but its either loud & distorted, or too low.

I just want to know wut hardware or qut ever to buy and use so i can record my mixes with high quality, like DJs do on mixtapes. Is that too much to ask for?

when it is too low is it distorted? If not then you just gotta find that right spot between too low and too high (distorted). I don't think it is a hardware issue since it sounds good on your speakers, it is probably the software. Try another free program or a trial of something like adobe audition. also, look at the waveform it generates, is it clipping? if you could take a screen picture i'm sure someone could help more.

check that you mic in doesn't have any form of software enhancement switched on in the software - I know that my Win7 install did some weird bass boost thing that I had to turn off else it sounds like ass.
