i dont do giggs at the minute never mind fly anywhere with my gear lol... its just a hobby for me for now, never say never about going out gigging again so size isnt a problem for me

You've hardly used the X1's I'd keep them. However if you can't get to grips with them I can understand you thinking on moving onto the S4.

I would be lucky to get $500 for my set up? r u for real? a VCI-100SE, 2 x Kontrol X1's which have been used twice still have probably 6 months warranty and come with bags and an audio 8 soundcard thats 6 months old too... i personally think that little lot is worth £650 and that would almost cover the cost of the s4...

why does everyone whinge about the size of the s4? i finally dragged my arse into the city today and checked one out for the first time. it's not some giant piece of kit, if anything other controllers are too small. for example, all the new denon controllers are WAY smaller than i expected! most controllers on the market i feel are too cramped, i found the vci to be too small.

i didn't think the build quality of the s4 to be as bad as everyone made it out to be either. knobs, faders, buttons etc all felt as they should i thought. everyone has a different expectation and opinion on things tho i guess.
