Ain't nothing wrong with spending $900 if you're sure you'll take DJing seriously.
As long as you don't change your mind next year and sell all your gear for 10% of the price, it's better to spend more cash.
If you spend $300 then realise you need to learn better gear to play out anywhere you'll only go and spend $900 more on real gear. Total = $1200
Do an acid test to see if you're the real deal though!
