    my old man has a 1/2" reel to reel tape player, quite like this one


    which he got for like £20 a couple of years back. That is some serious retro chic right there.

    I used to work at a uni a few years ago and one of the technicians had a mint Akai R2R there that was sitting in a store cupboard - i never got round to asking him for it.

    Yeah they're still $100 here Josh. My son's been using an iPhone App, but he can't use the phone in school because it's a phone so this'll be good. It's a little old, but still works fine.

    my girlfriends rents just came to vist and he is a teacher at a uni in england
    he was telling me he was giving a box of old calculators so i checked the name of them

    turns out they are worth around £700 to £900 EACH (pre digital)



    he said when i get back to england in june if i sell them for him i can get a cut of the profit .


    just goes to show another mans junk is another mans treasure

    Best thing i ever found was a bass guitar for 60british pound and bought it just because i had money play bass and it was red and gold :eek: and sounded ok, when i got home i looked it up on ebay and they were going for like 900-1000 pound second hand cause it was a discontinued honer bass but still didnt sell it just because it sounds really nice through my amp and i would of only replaced it with another bass so why not keep it till one day its worth maybe a bit more

    Love my gameboy have the really old gameboy pocket still going strong to this day i still only ever use it with one game Super Mario still use it almost everyday in college and waiting for the band to finish at weddings
