Thinking about it there are even more signs that it's a scam. Like the fact that he says he's based just north of edinburgh but it's listed on London craigslist (so no one would be likely to pick up in person).

The UK has a population density of 660 people per square mile whereas california, has 234 (thank you wikipedia) so there are nearly 3 times as many people in a given area.

and I assume that if you were posting on craigslist, you'd use the sandiego one and not a california one!
