    Default Help! song im working on

    alright so im new to the hole producing thing but i wanna create a catchy house type of thing....

    now i havnt added anything fancy to this like i usualy doo so theres no build up sounds or anythign crazy with the drums yet...basicly i wanna look at the synths...how can i make it more....oomph ish? im kinda stuck

    theres no obvious drop really... honestly i like it, good tune, but it needs bass after the 'drop'

    It sounds like a totally complete track with the kick drum muted.

    Get yourself a fat kick drum sound, get yourself a fat bass sound, and sidechain the shit out of the bass. That should work great!

    aight so this may be cheating but unleash the fucking dada and my lines are kinda similar so im using that song as a refrence point and i think its turning out pretty good...later tonight ill post the second version.


    Only problem is my side chaining is turning out really weak...im using Logic and basicly just the compressor in there...is there something better to use?

    i know theres things it in that need work like the delay effects and overall mixing/mastering

    You're probably not mastering if you're at home with an unfinnished track, though.

    My advice is to work on one track at a time, I too have trouble with this.
    The first one is in the right direction so far. Beef up the drums, pan out your pads, add more layers, etc.
