Default The end of Creative - no April Fools!

Was browsing the Ableton forums before and I came across this link. Seems like Creative like doing their customers over!

Thoughts? does anyone use a Creative soundcard? I DID but sold it when it wouldn't work very well with Vista...

Creative has had a lot of problems with VSTA from what I've read, but VSTA has a lot of issues all around. I don't know as if this is the end of creative just yet, but I have my doubts it'll ever be the kind of juggernaut in sound it once was back when it was one out of a very few options to choose from. I'm kind of hoping they eventually get bought out or merge with another company like AMD, Intel, Nvidia, or VIA.

I think you mean Vista, right? The operating system, right?

The problem is they don't have Vista drivers for their stuff yet and have shutdown the only source for proper drivers, a freelance guy that was writing them on his own. Excellent business model if you ask me .

Had 24-bit Creative Live! 5.1 PCI soundcard. Gotta admit, sounded much, much better than any other no-professional oriented sound card.
Even now days I would always go for those sweet Xi-Fi sound cards.
