Default Stupid question about sound cards.

    Hey guys,
So I'm looking to buy a sound card that can send all of the audio signals to the four inputs of a four channel mixer. I was confused over which amount of outputs I need for the mixer. Would I need an 8 Channel output sound card having each channel be a mono L & R output or could I just use like an audiofire 4 and use four 1/4- L&R RCA. Would that work or would I need an 8 output sound card?

You need 8 MONO outsputs, or 4 STEREO outputs (which amounts to the same thing). Make sure that if a card has 1/4" outs they are stereo, as they could also be balanced mono (like those on the S4).

So the one I was considering has 4 balanced 1/4" analog outputs, so each channel would be mono?
