Default Searching new songs by BPM

    Hey everyone,

Just wondering if anyknow knew of any good sites that allow you to search by the bpm to purchase music?

I've been hunting around a bit and I couldnt really come across anything.

It looks like one of my buddys is taking over a bar and I will have a chance to play there in a couple weeks. I might be playing for the entire night yet I'm not sure. I need to fill out my playlist a bit more so I have more room to work when I get out there. Thanks.

none that i know of, but depending on what genre depends on what bpm you're going to get... eg, you wont find a happy hardcore track by browsing for 112bpm

what genre do you mix or are wanting to mix in this bar?

Tap out the preview. That should be long enough to tell you what the BPM is, there's free iPhone apps and I saw something in the Mac app store that does the same thing. Not sure about PC's though.

Alright... maybe I can rephrase my question:

What genres exist between 110-120 BPMs?

I just got the details to the gig:

Helping out at the bar I get the first hour or so that the club is going on like 9 to 10 or 11.

I gotta try to build a fan base and hopefully in a couple months I'll be able to play later.

So I like mixing in the house spectrum of things however I think that house is too much for the club just starting to fill up. So I was thinking something slower but still in the genre just to show that I realize that a dance floor timeline exist?

Keep pumping the help its much appreciated.

Deep house is always a safe bet for such things, though it usually won't be under 120bpm.
Maybe some mellower indie dance, or hip-hop would be down there.

    this..

some minimal tech can sound alright around the 120 mark too.

triphop could be worth a look in, its nice and mellow/chilled and in your bpm range... or theres stuff like soul, hiphop..

what sort of music will be played later in the night?

EDIT: check out the link in my sig for some music recommendations
