Default Can you scratch without Traktor Scratch?

I've been lurking around for a while. I've wanted to get my hands on a VCI-100 and Traktor for quite a while, but I feel compelled to ask this very simple question.

Can you scratch in Traktor Pro by itself? I've played around with the Traktor demo, and I know you can scratch by clicking and dragging on the waveforms, but since the demo is both Pro and Scratch Pro bundled, I'm not sure what features are associated with what, and I like to be sure.

If you have a controller for sure you can scratch with it.

I don't think you can use regular Traktor Pro as a DVS though.

the "Scratch" part only refers to being able to use Vinyl timecode to manipulate the track.

You can still use a midi controller to scratch just fine.
