Default To Soundcloud or not to Soundcloud?

Looking to start recording my mixes/sets/practice sessions and put them up online. Thought Soundcloud was the way to go but there has been news recently that Soundcloud is now taking down DJ mixes bc of copyright laws, etc.

I've asked around and am getting mixed opinions! Some people are saying NOT to start putting stuff up on Soundcloud and others are saying there's nothing to worry about...

What's the TRUTH? Should I start a Soundcloud or a Mixcloud?!

(Digital DJ Tips has some good articles about this. But then why are people not stopping to use Soundcloud?)

    Thanks!!!

Never had any issues myself (aside from the occasional slow upload) and just about everybody i know uses it and has been happy with the service. I would say go for it

(Edit) also as far as the whole copyright thing goes generally thats for when an artist/label requests it to be removed. Now i have not herd of a single person I know having a mix taken down but if you check the first response on digitaldjtips he gives a pretty good explanation

There's a few people on here that've had some mixes taken down. I haven't but my playlists are a little different. That said I'm not renewing my pro level when it comes around because it's just to expensive.

I personally use mixcloud, i just prefer it, and DJ mixes always have links to buying the tracks provided you give a tracklist, so i doubt any copyright laws would be violated?

The only reason I don't use mixcloud exclusively is their 100 mb limit.

whats great about soundcloud is that it can play from a facebook wall or home page without opening a new window, does mix cloud also do the same ?
