Awesome machine, but yeh it will be heavy and possibly difficult to find space for in the booth, particularly if you're trying to get an S4 in there as well.

I prefer the 15", but there's plenty of people that gig with the 17".It won't be as bad if you put it on something like the crane stand that'll raise it up over everything.

Agree with your point sir but I decided to just get it anyway, the offer is too good to resist.Getting last year's model for the price of one from 2008..effective tomorrow, ill be having less hair drop due to BSOD's n audio dropouts.lol(still love my crappy windows machine tho)..

About finding space, the crane stand looks solid for the job but are the rods height adjustable? Tall guy here with lower back problems..Thanx for the input guys

It's definitely a great computer, but since it's a big investment in more ways than one (cwutIdidthar???) It's worth it to get a good sturdy stand so that you don't have to worry about space/some drunk girl's gin and tonic spilling on your table into your computer. Just make sure that it can hold it well. I'd recommend buying a stand (the crane stand for example) and putting your computer on it and wobbling the table that you have it on just a bit to make sure that it won't fall over if someone hits the table.

The long legs are not height adjustable, but I don't think you want it any taller than it already is just for sturdiness issues. You can raise and lower the computer though by adjusting the angle.
