Default New DJ laptop - Backing up system/files

New laptop has just arrived and I wondering the best way to back-up and what system you use for reguarly doing this?

I've got a new S4 and have read this topic -
    http://www.djtechtools.com/forum/showthread.php?t=23335

I plan to follow this and set up 2 partitions but i'm unsure of best way to backup. For instance I would like a factory set back up disc incase I ever sell, how is best to do this - before I partition? Plus will I need to create discs of each partition?

Also do you reguarly back-up to external hd or disc and how do you do this ie copy folder or some software. I've been told partition magic but been told windows can do this???

    Any help appreciated?

assuming its a pc ... many of them come standard with a partition that holds the factory installation software (to save on costs, they regulary dont send CD's anymore but you still can request them for free during a certain period). you can create a third additional partition to house your DJ software and optional setup.
