Novation Automap

I have a novation nocturn, and the other night, during my first gig, automap crashed, and in my random button mashing in an attempt to make it work(nervous energy) it worked, and I had accidentally hit the button i had mapped to cue, on the deck that was playing, stopping audio. Is there any way for me to avoid using automap, and just using standard midi signals?

I have done, but it wont actually make any response at all! it's like a big expensive paperweight without the automap stuff, and its melting my head

Does the manual say anything?

It says th software has to be running, but i was hoping someone had found a way round it...

A quick Google tells me you have to use auto map.

Yes but i did a search on this forum and apparently some guy found out how to make his launchpad without automap, i've made it work without automap now, just not multiple pages, and with no lights. i guess i'll have to use automap again

From what I read the launchpad was different in that it had some basic midi capabilities, but you still couldn't use it entirely on it's own. That post I found was over a year old though so something may have changed.
