Stupid April fools. I hate you! Troll Alert!
hm...i donīt know. i never loved the word brostep but this stuff sounds like it. iīm turning more andm ore old fashioned these by saying that this has nothing to do with dubstep anymore except for the bpm. donīt want to be hating and i love all the midrangestuff but i more and more feel myself uncomfortable listening to it and saying dubstep to it. mala, distance, vaski, dmz...thatīs dubstep. but i wouldnīt call stuf like deadmau5, skrillex, boregore, flux p and what not dubstep.
iīm seriously in a hassle right now (for over 1 year) calling stuff dubstep wich has nothing in common with dubstep anymore. donīt get me wrong. i love hard shit and i love to throw the bangers but like i said. is it dubstep?
but then again i get to point of being sick if giving every style a different subgenre name. like 140 halftime electro with wobbles...
argh iīm drunk! sorry guys!

ahhh you got me.....either way, i would like to see a good mash up of skrillex and deadmau5, and i'd stick by saying its sick, other than the quality that one didnt sound half bad. and i think skrillex class's his stuff as "Indie Dance / Nu Disco" what ever the fuck that is.

I agree with earl... If there's no dub in it, then it's just step?
true story and a paraphrased quote from the guy that gave it the name. taken from BBC radios history of dubstep podcast episodes
"at the time it was called lots of things. it was stil developing and changing... so i called it dubstep because it was based on dub and 2 step garage, and it was quoted and called that in a newspaper and thats how if got its name"
so am i now a step dj?
Sorry guys for that stupid rant. I was drunk and in a bad mood...

That just made me tense up. I sound like an old man but that's just too much noise! It reminds me of hardcore: mosh pits, people getting elbowed, and a lot of aggression. Which is the total opposite of what dubstep started out as: chill vibes.
It's cool with me if people like this stuff. I just wouldn't want to be near the speakers or the mosh pit.
