    Default Traktor 2 NON-OBVIOUS Questions

Currently have Traktor Scratch Pro and thinking about upgrading to Traktor 2 but have a few questions

    1) If i get the traktor scratch pro 2 uprade with audio 10 does the audio 10 always require a power supply or only when using 4 timecode decks?

    2) I were to get just the "TRAKTOR SCRATCH PRO 2 Software Upgrade" then later on feel like i need a audio 10 can will i be able to download the files to make a timecode cd?

    3) Will the older multicore cables still work for the new software?

    4) The "TRAKTOR SCRATCH PRO 2 Certified Upgrade Kit" with software DVS plug-in, 2 control vinyl records/2 control CDs (NO AUDIO INTERFACE) for $340 but the
"TRAKTOR SCRATCH PRO 2 UPGRADE DOWNLOAD" with software, DVS plug-in) for $80

so they charge you $260 for 2 control vinyl records/2 control CDs? can someone explain to me the difference dont want to make the wrong purchase..

    thank you for you time

    1. the a10 should be bus powered, the AC brick is for the THRU feat.

    2. yes, thru the service center

    3. yes they work

    4. $80 upgrade is for TSPRO/DUO or TS users, and the upgrade kit for 340 is for users with the a cert mixer or audio 4, 8 that want the scratch feat.

thank all of you for the quick response this is why i love this forum

so with the 80$ upgrade i would just download the control cds off service center and use my older multicore cables then i will be able to use timecode??

and if i want to upgrade i can always by an audio 10 separately ?

im pretty sure the TA10 has to be powered to a brick. The TA6 works thru USB. im pretty sure thats what i read on the NI forum.

Absolutely always. There is no USB bus option for the TA10.
