Check ebay and keep checking, bargains do appear if you are willing to wait. I would rather buy a djm or an A & H in good condition than a brand new behringer.

xone:42, xone:92 or xone:4d (midi controls on the 4d would be useful for ableton)

    Reloop RMX-40
was voted best under €800 mixer a while back. And that while it's only about €350,-
Very nice mixer, similar layout to the DJM mixers so you dont have to get used to it that much.
Xone 92 is used by alot of big names. seems like a great mixer too, and it's a midi controller too.

    +1 for the DDM4000

I have had one for over 2 years, and it has seen constant abuse, being taken out of the bedroom constantly.

And, I am strongly considering buying another...

A used DJM in good condition will last forever in home use tbh.

How many channels do you need? If it's only 2 I love the A & H 22, personally or the 42 for 4 channel.
