Default Need advice on laptop stand and case

    Hey guys,

I am using a MacBook Pro 15" and a Denon DN-MC6000. Any advice on the perfect laptop stand which will fit both the Mac on top and the MC6000 just below it? The stands I've found so far are too small, i.e. when the Mac is on top, the MC6000 is not completely accessible.

Also I need to fit this set-up (plus headphones and some other stuff) in some kind of bag. Which one is the best to use for such a set-up?

    Thanks in advance,
    P.

If you have the money, grab the Crane from the store

The Crane would work, and I love my Uberstand, which would also work

I'm thinking of getting an uberstand, the crane looks awesome but also a bit dear. I want to mount my MBP above my DJM-800 in a big ol' coffin case with midi madness and a technics.

incidentally, sorry to go slightly OT but does anyone know if a DJM and an X1 would fit nicely in a 19" mixer slot in a coffin case? I'm trying to imagine in my head how everything would be arranged.

I would have to recommend the Uberstand. I have had one for over a year and I love it. It should be high enough to give you full access to the Denon under it.

Thanks, I'll have a look at the Uberstand then. Problem with the cheap stands is always that I can't fit the MC6000 under it.

Any bag solution you guys would prefer for the set-up?

You have around 8" of space minimum from the bottom of the stand to the tray that holds my audio interface, possibly a foot in total if you're not using one. You'll be able to fit almost any controller underneath it.

Since the MC6000 has an integrated audio interface, I won't be using that middle plate anyway. Should fit just fine. Thanks a lot!

I suppose they're on the expensive side, and probably not so compact...but def. worth mentioning..

If I were building a permanent space for my gear, I'd love to have some of this..
